Ping Pong Shows In Thailand: Your Questions Answered
What Is A Ping Pong Show?
First and foremost, a ping pong show is a form of stage entertainment (almost a comedy show) that takes place in Thailand’s nightclubs. The show consists of mainly Thai women (usually prostitutes) using their pelvic muscles to either hold, eject, or blow various objects (for example, cigarettes, razors, needles, chopsticks, candles, darts, and even baby crabs!) from their vaginal cavity. Sounds exciting, right?
Notably, ping pong balls are the most iconic objects used in this form of entertainment.
Where To Find Ping Pong Shows In Thailand?
Ping pong shows can be found in all of the popular tourist areas such as Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket Province, etc.
For example, most of the ping pong shows in Bangkok are located near the famous Patpong Night Market. Even if you’re approached by a tout (a person holding a sign) offering shows in other areas of Thailand’s capital, the person will most likely just take you to the Patpong area, so you might as well go straight to Patpong and avoid additional transportation fees.

The Ping Pong Time: Or What To Expect From The Ping Pong Show?

Here Are A Few Examples Of The Ping Pong Show Acts:

Smoking Show
A girl squats down with her vagina open to face the crowd and sticks a lit cigarette in between her labia lips and starts to huff and puff.
Blowing A Dart At A Balloon Show
At first, the performer gets on her hands and legs – crab style. Then, she sticks a dart in between her legs while her sidekick tosses a balloon in the air. As it slowly floats down, she shoots the dart from her “lady hole” to the balloon.
The Razor Blades Show
Usually, around ten razor blades are linked together using thread, then the performer shoves the whole thread up there only to pull it out slowly again. Ouch!
The Baby Crabs Show
A small handful of live baby crabs is stuffed up in the lady’s hole and the lady stands there just waiting for a minute. After 60 seconds, she reaches down with her fingers and grabs each baby crab out slowly. The baby crabs are usually all alive and well.
The Goldfish Show
A Thai girl comes out and shows the audience a small fish bowl with a live goldfish swimming around. Then, she takes the fish out of the water (with it flopping around in the air) and proceeds to push it up to her vaginal cavity and after a few seconds, the lady stands over the (now empty) fish bowl and plops it back down into the water… Where the fish continues swimming – alive and well.
Writing With A Paint Brush/Marker
A girl squats over a piece of paper with a paint brush (or a marker) and proceeds to write someone’s name sitting in the front row. Impressive!
How Much Does It Cost To Attend A Ping Pong Show In Thailand?
The price could be around 500 or even 1000 Baht (10£ – 20£ per person).

The Audience
The audience usually consists of tourists (male and female) from all over the world.
Ping Pong Shows In Thailand: Tips Worth Knowing
- It’s best if you go in a large group (at least, 3-4 people) so it’s unlikely that anything will happen to you.

- You won’t get assaulted, but the chance of having a huge surprise of a bill that you are demanded to pay at the end of the show is very high. So, before attending the show, always ask the tout or a bar manager what’s the exact price that you are expected to pay, and try to pay it in advance.

- Take less money and small change only. Unless, of course, you want to see all the shows and tip like a rockstar, 500 Baht (in the 20s and 50s) per person is more enough. If the tout hits you up for more money (and, especially tips!) you can say “This is all I have left. If you’d told me it would cost more I would not have come in as I don’t have enough money”.
